Weekend Update

It was days of sun, fun, friends, and one lost and found cat. I came under the superb tutelage of Derek my new Grill Guru who gave sage advice based on many a weekend bbq in his native Ohio.
Contrary to some requests, we did not roast a small child, but we did grill loads of tasty items on the grill. It was a perfectly sunny day spent with friends, pets, and 3 liters of sangria. Thanks everyone for coming out, sharing your awesome eats, and just hanging out in the sun. Photos can be seen at the new and improves Lunamania photo gallery. (see left sidebar) I'll be posting more stuff soon.
I usually awake to a meowling duet of "Gimme Some Kibble." Tamu sings in a drawn out whiny falsetto that doesn't quite fit his burly exterior. Hamachi offers a craggly girl-power counterpoint. The entire production goes something like, "mmmeeeeeeeeoooooowwwww," interspered with "mya!, mya!, mya!" Neither can dance very well. While Tamu has that linebacker athleticism, Hamachi is one of the klutziest animals I've ever met. Regardless, they sometimes add a little choreography that includes some brutish foot stomping and not so graceful tail swishing.
It's not the most pleasant musical presentation, but I was distressed to discover Hamachi's mya mya was missing from the usual serenade. I looked everywhere and she was nowhere to be seen. Jack, Search Monkey, and I beat the neighbor's bushes and poked our heads everywhere while Tamu sat smugly in his perch fantasizing about being the only cat in the spotlight. After 12 hrs., we made some Lost Cat signs and I camped out downstairs to listen for her at the door. Thanks to some helpful neighbors, we found her this morning cowering in Pam and Eddie's garden. Tamu was deeply disappointed that he'd have to share the stage once again, but I was relieved.
I just spent way too much time sharing cat details. Thanks for reading...
