Yoz-mite

I reported in an earlier post that the Monkey and I had some supreme adventues in Yoz-mite. This is The American Nature Park. I uploaded pictures in the photo album .
First, it's BIG and in this country size does matter. 30 ft radius tree trunks are par for the course. El Capitan--the single largest granite outcropping in the world. Half Dome - let's just say that's huge too.
Second, hamburgers. Don't think any red-blooded American can go even one meal without the option of a costo-size grilled hamburger with fries. Yosemite Village has an over priced grill that also has pizza someplace. oh, and you can get your organic Napa Valley wines too. Don't worry if you can't find twigs to toast your marshmallows on, because you can purchase your very own automated marshmallow stick.
Third, hidden fun. Like many American tourist attractions, if you can tear yourself away from the must-have t-shirts, Insert Site Here Specialty Caramel Popcorn, and can stand to be away from a hamburger, there are incredibly fun adventures to be had! We took a day hike and discovered an unbelievable view of Half Dome and El Capitan followed by the most pristine lake complete with hopping trout.
Fourth, diversity. Oh, America prides itself on its multikulti divrsity. We saw bears of all stripes--brown, red, yellow, green.

There is actually a non-food colored, breathing brown bear in this picture.
