Reporting back from the OC
The Monkey and I made a quick jaunt down to the Southland last weekend. The kiddies were all over the place, the adults exhausted and the cat...oh the poor cat.
Tara and Michi helped us recuperate with a lovely yakiniku feast at Anjin. This place ROCKS. It's Japanese style Korean bbq and the quality of the meat is world class. The Kobe beef plate was the perfect buttery marble. Yes, Kobe beef.
We brushed off our blissful, beef induced food comas with some quick fire fighting action in Tara and Michi's kitchen. Nothing like a flaming oven to get the blood pumping. The resulting dessert was scrumptious and did confirm my suspicion that Tara and Speed continue to share their desserts...
